This work is based on the imagined ‘evolution’ of previous sculptural work. The previous work (see “Rebirth of a Life” on website) included 270 pod-like sculptures intended to represent ‘creative ideas’ being symbolically sent out into the world like dandelion seeds to ‘propagate’. In “Millipod”, we follow the destiny of one of the pods which has been quite busy. This particular pod has multiplied into 1,000 versions of itself over time, becoming the MILLIPOD. The expansiveness of this one tiny unit represents the infinite possibilities resulting from our every gesture.
